hello!
Yesterday we go down to Base camp after 3 days work period. We reached altitude 6 150 meters and come to the place called in autumn "The Gate": two huge rock looks like a gate - very narrow. From here it is very close to the Tower - one of the most difficult places on the South buttress.
The state of route is very difficult: instead of autumn ice it is now the smooth rock with a film of snow. But we slowly climb up.
As for the weather April 1,2nd there were almost no snow falling. But yesterday - April 3rd in 3 p.m. snow falls as from the basket and we were swept from the route.
Tomorrow we start again. Thank for the weather forecast. We hope it help us in nearest days. Now in BC sunny, windy, probably from North. Spring slowly comes to us. Very lazy .
